Job Summary
Project Procurement Specialist responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and services for large capital projects. Oversees EPC contractor procurement practices to ensure internal customer technical/commercial expectations and schedules are met; conducts sourcing (RFP/RFQ), bid analysis, and expediting to maximize value. Works with engineering, construction, and project management teams to forecast needs, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with safety and project requirements. Maintains awareness of market conditions, new products, and cost-analysis methods, and supports continuous improvement across procurement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field (or 4 years' experience in lieu of degree) with minimum 5 years relevant procurement experience
- Several years of procurement experience within an EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) environment and construction or engineering sectors
- Strong analytical skills
- Extensive experience with SAP, Excel, Power Point, and other Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated integrity, customer service orientation, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to facilitate change, continuous improvement, and lead change (change champion)
- Strong collaboration across Supply Chain and support Functions
- Ability to deal with ambiguity with confidence and determination
