Project Procurement Manager - Industrial

Job Summary

Negotiate high-risk contracts and serve as initial legal review for escalated commercial issues. Act as a liaison between the procurement team and project attorneys to resolve disputed contract terms and move agreements to execution. Support procurement staff meetings, develop company-wide and project-specific contract templates, and provide training on negotiation and terms and conditions. Manage supplier-specific vendor template negotiations and interface with business, legal, risk, tax, and internal departments. This senior role within Kiewit Supply Network requires 10+ years of EPC experience and periodic travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain management or equivalent degree or military/education experience combination
  • 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Construction or equivalent work/field
  • Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects
  • 8+ years negotiation experience
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, effective time management skills, and excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Must be willing to travel periodically for periods of less than a week
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
  • Work overtime and weekends as required

Desired Qualifications

  • Legal training or transactional/commercial management experience of 5+ years preferred
  • Advanced knowledge in risk evaluation, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution preferred
