Job Summary
Project Processing Specialist needed for Armand Corporation's construction-management team. Responsibilities include providing support to permit applicants to complete filing procedures with City agencies, reviewing construction documents for code and standard compliance, coordinating review comments from multiple disciplines, developing project scope of work and structural design for various structures (including bridges, rails, and transit facilities), assigning technical disciplines for code reviews, delivering documents to city agencies for review and approval, researching building status from City records, and performing related tasks. Requires a Bachelor's Degree related to architecture or construction, 5+ years of experience with building codes and systems in a construction setting, and the ability to liaise between tenants, facilities, and in-house reviewers. Proficiency with MS Office and related software (SharePoint, Trimble Unity, eBuilder, etc.) and strong communication skills are expected. The role is full-time, on-site and/or remote as directed, in Jersey City, NJ, on a one-year assignment of 40 hours/week.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college related to architecture or construction engineering or architecture
- Registered Architect or Professional Engineer’s license in State of New York and/or New Jersey is preferable
- At least 5 years of experience with building codes and systems in a construction setting
- Proper understanding of architectural/engineering disciplines related to building design and construction of transportation and related facilities
- Comfortable acting as liaison between PA Tenants & Facilities and in-house application reviewers to ensure smooth workflow
- Comprehensive computer skills, proficient in MS Office, and ability & interest to learn various in-house and external software (Share Point, Trimble Unity, eBuilder, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
