Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

Manage project schedules by reviewing contractor submittals for accuracy, evaluating change impacts, and identifying conflicts with delivery teams. Maintain client-level schedules, coordinate interfaces into master programs, and provide critical path analysis aligned with reporting requirements. Support the QSRA process, conduct peer reviews, and assist in developing reports per business and corporate procedures. Review weekly coordination data including cost, schedule, trends, and progress, ensuring all activities adhere to project procedures. Collect data for schedule updates, measure progress, and analyze productivity against budget limitations.

Required Qualifications

  • University education in Engineering, Finance or Economics
  • 8 years of related experience
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE Certification
  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business
  • Primavera P6 – Advanced Level
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Acumen Fuse
  • Experience in Design-Build and Progressive Delivery
  • 10 years of experience in Scheduling
  • Experienced in the creation and implementation of complex Work Breakdown Structures and the integration of several schedules / work plans
  • Strong communicator and comfortable leading scheduling workshops and planning sessions including working with the contractor
  • Background working for a contracting organization
  • Familiar with Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) Process
  • Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles
  • Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles
  • Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management
  • Familiar with the concept of Earned Value Management and Progress Measurement
  • Exposure to scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles
  • Introduced to performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • University education with applicable further development in Project Management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or AACE Certification preferred
  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business preferred
