Project Planner

Job Summary
Develop and maintain detailed project programmes and schedules for major infrastructure schemes across Ireland, including metro, aviation, rail, water, and highway projects. Monitor project progress against baseline programmes, identify critical path impacts and delays, and support mitigation strategies while producing reports and dashboards for stakeholders. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to integrate design, procurement, and construction activities, review contractor programmes, and contribute to change management and scenario planning. Work in a hybrid role with office and site attendance, primarily based in Dublin, supporting the implementation of planning best practices and governance frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a planning or scheduling role on major infrastructure or construction projects (e.g. metro, aviation, rail, water and highways schemes)
- Strong understanding of programme planning principles, scheduling techniques and project controls
- Extensive experience using various planning softwares (e.g. Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject or equivalent)
- Ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules across multiple phases
- Understanding of critical path analysis, progress measurement and programme reporting
- Experience reviewing contractor programmes and assessing impacts of change
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret programme data and identify risks and opportunities
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams
- Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Degree in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Hybrid role requiring office and site attendance as required, with a majority of projects delivered in and around Dublin
