Job Summary
PROJECT PLANNER I responsible for end-to-end project planning deliverables across product lines, including design, application support, quality control, and order preparation from pre-quote through order readiness. Duties include producing drawings and plans using CET Designer, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp; designing solutions for office, warehouse, healthcare, military, and workplace environments; evaluating space constraints, product capability, and constructability; reading architectural drawings and specifications; revising designs based on feedback; supporting complex system upgrades and relocations; serving as SME on product applications and configurations; guiding product selection, logistics, installation considerations, and sequencing; liaising with external vendors for data; supporting specialty product lines (mobile shelving, modular millwork, lockers, interior systems, storage); collaborating with Sales to gather requirements; attending project meetings; communicating risks and constraints; coordinating with pricing, operations, and installation teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in design, engineering, or space planning
- Strong experience with CET Designer, AutoCAD, Revit, and related software
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong math skills (geometry, measurements, pricing calculations)
- Experience in a sales-driven, project-based environment
- Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Microsoft Excel and Adobe Product Suite experience a plus
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
