Job Summary

Develop, maintain, and integrate project plans supporting contract execution, resource management, schedule performance, and cost management within the Indo-Pacific Logistics and Sustainment Services program. Establish planning frameworks, milestones, and dependencies to manage projects from initiation through closeout, while coordinating with program leadership, technical teams, and government customers. Monitor performance metrics and recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule, cost, and quality objectives. Rapidly adapt project plans and resource allocations in response to emergent operations, regional crises, and government-directed events, ensuring plans remain executable under compressed timelines. Provide day-to-day direction to a supporting Journeyman-level planner. This role sits within the Emergent Operations team, requiring agility to shift between long-range program planning and crisis action planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing project plans within a DoD, federal, or defense industry environment
  • Working knowledge of DoD contracting and understanding of FAR, DFARS, military, and government regulations
  • Experience supporting crisis action planning, contingency planning, or emergent/no-notice operations within a DoD, federal, or defense industry environment
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access required prior to start

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with USPACOM, subordinate Commands, and Pacific/Strategic Partner Nations
  • PMP certification (or equivalent project management certification)
  • Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Experience managing projects within a large IDIQ, task order, or similar contract environment
  • Familiarity with modern project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, or similar)
  • Experience with the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES) or comparable crisis action planning tools
