Job Summary
Coordinate meetings, maintain project documentation, and track milestones to support the planning and implementation of Local Government Reorganisation across Norfolk. Monitor risks and issues, prepare performance reports, and update schedules while providing governance support to Project Managers and stakeholders. Manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment by escalating project risks appropriately and ensuring clear visibility of progress. This role involves working within the Norfolk-wide Programme Management Office to oversee the creation of three new unitary councils, with Vesting Day scheduled for 1 April 2028.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in an administrative, project support or project coordination role
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of working collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
- An understanding of project management principles, governance frameworks and project delivery methodologies
- The ability to identify and escalate project risks and issues appropriately
- Experience of preparing reports, maintaining records and supporting meetings
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills and confidence working with project documentation and data
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
- A relevant project management, project office or change management qualification, or a willingness to undertake one
