Job Summary
Coordinate design and construction activities for complex modernization projects under senior guidance, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely completion. Correct design and construction errors before extensive incorporation and manage change orders, shop drawings, and contract interpretations with architect/engineer of record. Monitor project schedules and phasing to maintain approved cost limitations while interfacing with contractors, construction managers, and local school personnel. Develop project procedures and review company-wide policies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture, five years of progressively responsible technical specialist experience, and a valid NYS Driver's License. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $139,000. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering or Architecture
- 5 years of full time, progressively responsible work as a technical specialist in one or more construction and design related fields
- 2 years must involve managing all phases of construction work on a scale an scope similar to education building projects
- A valid NYS Drivers License
- A satisfactory combination of education and experience
- Ability to multi-task on several projects at once
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
