Job Summary
Set and measure KPIs to track monthly performance against goals, then implement corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved. Design annual work plans, prepare budgets, and manage resources to maintain strict adherence to best practices in pyrethrum growing areas. Supervise extension staff on IPM and agronomy support programs, arrange laboratory testing for flower samples, and submit detailed operational reports on a timely basis. Liaise with industry experts and attend local government stakeholder meetings to improve program outcomes. Maintain accurate records of project inputs and outputs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement across all activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in community development project management or extension services.
- Demonstrated experience in setting and measuring KPIs, with a track record of achieving goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and supervise subordinates effectively.
- Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting, with experience in maintaining accurate records and submitting timely reports.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel to project sites and attend stakeholder meetings as required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) and biosecurity practices preferred.
