Job Summary
Lead and/or assist in planning, directing, and coordinating complex projects within a matrix organization to deliver on scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and staffing, lead planning meetings and stakeholder presentations, and communicate project status clearly. Provide guidance to team members, drive continuous improvement, and manage procurement and contracts with outside vendors. Ensure safety and compliance through the AEP processes, mentor team members, and coordinate with internal/external customers, suppliers, and partners. Willingness to travel up to ~25% and progressively take on lead project manager responsibilities as competency grows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field with three years qualified experience, or two-year Associate’s degree with five years experience, or High School Diploma/GED with seven years experience
- PMP certification is preferred but not required at this level; certification required for advancement to Project Manager Principal level
- Valid state driver's license
- Experience in outages, project estimating, project controls, risk management, safety processes, and vendor/contract management
- Ability to lead planning meetings, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage budgets and schedules
- Travel typically 25% or less, some assignments may require greater travel
- Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Experience with procurement, contracting, and vendor management
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration across internal/external teams
- Ability to analyze economic factors and manage scope, cost, and risk
