Job Summary
As a Project Mechanical Engineer V, you will lead complex design projects involving ductwork, piping, and HVAC systems for large-scale buildings. Responsibilities include preparing Revit/BIM models, overseeing QAQC processes, guiding less experienced staff, and interfacing with clients. The role demands strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently across mechanical disciplines, and familiarity with energy modeling software. Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience, hold a current PE in the U.S., and demonstrate advanced mechanical engineering knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience required
- Current PE in the United States required
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Ability to serve in QAQC process and as an independent reviewer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to interface effectively with clients and members of the design team
- Able to effectively handle multiple projects
- Must be a fully qualified professional able to perform work with a high degree of latitude, with some ambiguity in work
Desired Qualifications
- LEED accreditation
- Strong knowledge of Life Safety Codes
- Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus)
