Job Summary

Design mechanical parts including stress analysis, worst-case design, tolerance analysis, and review. Develop theoretical models, simulations, and prototypes to test and validate design. Collaborate with radio frequency, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to refine mechanical design and qualify for internal and external safety and standards. Design for high-volume manufacturing, testing, and assembly, including development of tooling and testers. This role focuses on shaping concepts, building prototypes, and ensuring designs meet high standards for performance and reliability for smart lighting and shading products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Science
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned
  • 0-3 years' experience in a related field
  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site 5 days per week
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time for inter-office collaboration, site visits, etc.
