Job Summary
Lead and oversee the Project Management function for a permanent full-time role in Townsville. The role focuses on custodianship of the Project Management Framework, policies, standards, and the project management system, providing coaching to project managers, driving change management initiatives, and delivering reliable project management insights to support executive decision-making. Responsibilities include establishing and improving project management processes, governance, and reporting; training and coaching teams; collaborating across executive, corporate and operational units; and ensuring effective portfolio oversight and system administration to strengthen organisational project delivery capability. Desirable qualifications include professional PM certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP). The position offers an attractive base salary range (AUD) plus 15% superannuation and five weeks annual leave, with equal opportunity employment and opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, management, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Experience in managing projects and in the development and maintenance of project management frameworks
- Administration of project management systems and delivery of portfolio level reporting
- Ability to analyse project management system data, dashboards and metrics to provide actionable insights to executives
- Ability to provide guidance, coaching and training to project managers and teams
- Experience leading organisational change initiatives and improving project delivery practices
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Mobility:Current C class driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the region
