Job Summary
Lead project cargo initiatives from planning through execution by serving as the primary customer contact, coordinating all delivery aspects, and ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and compliant with safety and contractual requirements. Manage multiple projects and priorities by leading conference calls, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and resolving issues before they impact performance. Establish and approve transportation routes, coordinate third-party vendors and cargo loading, and review contract terms to support profitability objectives. Approve weekly invoices, monitor site supervisor performance, and ensure adherence to safety standards while adapting quickly in a dynamic environment. Requires flexible hours, potential travel to customer locations, and infrequent overnight trips.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to understand and interpret contract terms and conditions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work flexible hours, including responsibilities outside normal business hours as needed
- Ability to travel to customer locations when required
- Infrequent overnight travel
