Job Summary
Project Manager to lead planning, organizing, and coordinating the engineering, design, procurement, and construction activities for medium-to-high complexity electric utility capital projects focused on Substation and Transmission upgrades. Responsibilities include coordinating stakeholder communication, acting as primary client contact, conducting technical reviews of specs/drawings/contracts, directing project planning and status meetings, providing schedule and budget updates, overseeing construction package reviews and site walks, managing outages and permits, and supporting portfolio reporting. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering/construction management, 6–14 years in utility project management, PMP preferred, and strong communication/leadership skills. Travel to client sites is required (approximately 20%), with roles based in Akron, OH; West Virginia; or Philadelphia-area (State College corridor).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant experience in electric utility project management
- Minimum of 6-14 years of experience in project management for the Utility sector (electric power such as Substation or Transmission)
- PMP preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective leadership and organizational skills
