Job Summary
The Project Manager will lead the financial, contractual, operational, and administrative management of heavy civil infrastructure projects, coordinating with superintendents, project engineers, estimators, owners, subcontractors, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards. Key responsibilities include managing project financial performance, subcontractor buys, risk and change management, forecasting and cost-to-complete analyses, schedule development and control using Primavera and other PM tools, coordination of manpower, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring permit and environmental compliance, leading owner meetings and client coordination, and mentoring project engineers and emerging leaders. The candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, financially driven, and capable of leadership development across safety, quality, risk, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 6+ years of heavy civil construction experience
- 4+ years of project engineering or project management experience
- Experience with DOT, bridge, utility, roadway, paving, rail, or infrastructure projects
- OSHA 30 certification
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction means and methods
- Project scheduling and sequencing expertise
- Cost tracking, forecasting, and production analysis
- Change order management
- Contract administration
- Quantity takeoffs and estimating fundamentals
- Subcontractor management
- Risk management awareness
- Leadership and mentoring abilities
