Project Manager (Water/Wastewater Treatment)

Job Summary
Lead major water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service providers, tracking budgets, and overseeing delivery timelines. Design engineering solutions that conform to regulatory standards and contribute to the analysis of engineering standards and specifications. Manage relationships with small clients while supporting senior colleagues in leading interactions with larger key accounts. Draft and complete proposals in response to bid solicitations, requests for proposal, and tenders to secure new contracts. Adhere to health, safety, and environment policies to mitigate environmental risks and identify patterns of risky behavior within the team. Participate in assessment and development planning to maintain external professional accreditation and stay current with industry best practices. This role involves working within an established program management plan, with opportunities to mentor team members and collaborate across the Southeast Region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure or treatment facilities
- Strong understanding of consulting engineering business and municipal agencies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to develop, mentor and lead professional technical staff
- The ability to prioritize, track budgets, manage project schedules and anticipate associated upcoming tasks
- Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed (primarily day trips)
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Business development, proposal preparation, and marketing skills a plus
