Job Summary
Project Manager (Water/Wastewater) in Ottawa, Ontario, responsible for leading assessment, planning, design, approval, and contract administration of water and wastewater infrastructure including reservoirs, storage tanks, pumping stations, and new mains. Duties include preparing and tracking budgets and schedules, evaluating design submissions, cost estimates, tender documents, and construction approvals; performing environmental assessments; preparing reports, proposals, design documents and permit applications; liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies; mentoring junior staff. Requires a Professional Engineer license in Ontario (PEO) and hands-on experience with municipal water/wastewater projects, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation or Civil 3D and MS Office/MS Project; hybrid work arrangement in Ottawa with benefits and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEO)
- Knowledge of municipal and provincial approval processes, agency standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Ten+ years of experience delivering municipal water/wastewater projects from design to completion
- Strong analytical skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Track record of gaining approval from approval authorities and environmental agencies
- Skilled in cost estimating and specification writing
- Experience with MS Office, MS Project
- Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation or Civil 3D
