Job Summary
Manage and execute work on municipal water and wastewater utilities projects, facilitating concurrent project delivery and execution. Lead teams in planning, engineering services during construction, and maintaining successful client relationships. Responsibilities include developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables, while supervising and mentoring junior engineers. Ensure compliance with technical and quality standards and engage in business development efforts, including proposal writing and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or with an Environmental focus (or related engineering discipline) required
- Minimum of 7+ years of increasingly-responsible, professional experience in municipal water and wastewater engineering and consulting preferred
- Professional registered engineer in the State of Pennsylvania or the credentials to obtain registration in a timely manner is also required
- Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation
- Ability to successfully manage clients and projects in a collaborative fashion and interface with Brown and Caldwell’s local, regional, and national practitioners as well as help mentor junior staff
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred but not required
- Previous business development experience (writing winning proposals and successfully pursuing work) is a plus
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
