Job Summary
Project Manager for Water Modeling and Planning leading conceptual and master planning for water, wastewater, and reuse systems. Responsibilities include managing scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; leading hydraulic modeling analyses with tools like WaterGEMS/SewerGEMS and InfoWater/InfoWorks; coordinating with client service and engineering teams; mentoring junior engineers; leading workshops and client meetings; supporting business development, including proposals, scopes of work, and budgets; and representing the firm at industry events. Focus areas include water distribution planning, wastewater collection planning, integrated water supply planning, asset management for water/wastewater infrastructure, and conveyance system optimization. Requires PE licensure (or ability to obtain), ABET-accredited degree, 5+ years in water/wastewater, and master-planning experience; preferred Master’s degree, leadership on multi-discipline projects, GIS capabilities, and familiarity with rate studies and water rights permitting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 5+ years of technical experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in master planning for municipal water/wastewater systems
- Experience in developing capital improvement programs (CIPs)
- PE license in any U.S. state (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
