Job Summary
Project Manager for Water and Wastewater Services leads multi-disciplinary municipal capital projects (treatment facilities, reservoirs, pumping systems) from planning through bid packages and contract administration. Responsibilities include review of designs, technical troubleshooting, liaising with applicants and consultants, procurement and contract management, budget control, and coordination with City departments to ensure compliance with policy and provincial guidelines. Requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, plus experience with environmental assessments, field investigations, and delivering high-quality municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a three (3) year community college diploma in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or a related field, or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid Class G Driver’s Licence and a safe driving record.
- A clear understanding of municipal project management roles and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) projects and Master Plans.
- Extensive municipal project management and contract administration experience in planning, coordinating, designing and constructing complex projects in a municipal environment (water, sewer, roads).
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal record check.
