PROJECT MANAGER - WASHINGTON STATE - REMOTE

Job Summary

Lead cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical communication system projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality metrics, deadlines, and budget constraints. Oversee pre-tax profit and manage the three constraints of quality, cost, and time while developing complete project plans, tracking progress, and utilizing standard tools for critical path analysis and risk assessment. Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless execution, manage project scope and schedule changes, and serve as the primary communicator to customer organizations and senior stakeholders. Conduct regular project reviews, audit budgets, and escalate performance issues as needed. Must reside in Washington State, with 25-50% travel required to customer locations across Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Required Qualifications

  • Residence in the State of Washington, Oregon, or Northern California
  • Preference for candidates located in the state of Washington
  • Travel within the Territory, including Washington, Oregon, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and/or Hawaii
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management OR 6+ years experience in Project Management, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT, Motorola, Military experience, or Public Safety experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract(s)
  • Successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc.
  • Must be a self motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Must be able to travel to customer locations for on-site upgrades

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience forecasting and driving revenue through project management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and other project management methodologies
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Public Safety communications systems, cellular infrastructure, civil construction, Military communications, IT Networks
  • PMP and/or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • PM Masters Certificate
  • Motorola Solutions Field System Integration experience
  • Understanding of two way radio infrastructure communications products, services, and systems
  • Understanding of local public safety and federal customers, such as police, fire, emergency medical services, government agencies
