Job Summary
Own the full lifecycle of complex commercial foodservice construction and equipment projects from award to closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget, and client relationships simultaneously. Build detailed project plans with sequenced milestones, track actuals against cost-to-complete, and drive change order discipline to protect margins. Serve as the primary client contact, coordinate internal teams and subcontractors, and oversee submittals and RFIs to ensure on-time design and procurement decisions. Manage Work in Progress and AIA billing, pursue retainage release, and deliver structured status reporting with no surprises. This individual-contributor role requires leading projects valued between $500K and $5M with limited oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field
- 3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, foodservice equipment, or related contracting environment
- Track record managing projects from $500K to $5M with accountability for schedule and budget
- Proficiency with AIA billing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and subcontract management
- Strong working knowledge of construction documents, submittal processes, RFI management, and closeout procedures
- Exceptional communication skills — written and verbal — at the owner, GC, and trade level
- High organizational discipline and the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously without sacrificing detail
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in commercial foodservice equipment procurement, design-build contracting, or kitchen construction
- Familiarity with Procore or comparable construction project management platforms
- Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP system
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
