Job Summary
Lead government construction projects from award through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, forecasts, and procurement logs. Coordinate with government representatives, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors while overseeing contracts, change orders, and documentation. Review plans and specifications to identify risks, manage RFIs and submittals, and ensure compliance with government contract requirements. Track costs, maintain accurate financial forecasts, and oversee subcontractor performance, scope, and change management. Support permitting, inspections, testing, and project closeout while mentoring project engineers. Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, accountability, and client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of Project Management experience in commercial construction
- Direct experience managing government construction projects
- Experience working for a commercial general contractor
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, and project documentation
- Strong understanding of government contract administration, compliance, reporting, and documentation requirements
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and scope documents
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
