Job Summary
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex transportation projects while serving as the principal client contact to foster long-term partnerships. Develop and negotiate project scopes, budgets, and contracts; oversee financial performance, staffing plans, and resource allocation across assignments. Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring staff and approving technical deliverables for compliance. Represent the firm in meetings with clients, agencies, and at public hearings to present technical information. Balance client needs with internal priorities to ensure schedule, budget, and profitability objectives are met. Requires a P.E. license, 6+ years of experience, and flexibility for overtime. Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities to contribute to firmwide initiatives on design standards and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state(s) required to support project work
- Minimum 6 years of relevant engineering and project management experience depending on service area
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining strong client relationships
- Proven ability to mentor staff and supervise teams of approximately 5–7 employees
- Strong business development, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple concurrent projects effectively
- Ability to work Monday–Friday with flexibility for overtime as needed
