Job Summary

Conduct and oversee studies for power flow, transient stability, transfer capability, short-circuit, electromagnetic, reliability, and economic dispatch while interpreting NERC and FERC standards. Lead proposal development, budgeting, and scheduling to define project objectives with clients, then manage end-to-end delivery including scope, schedule, and quality control. Negotiate contracts, analyze risks and costs for stakeholders, and mentor teams of engineers and analysts. Identify cross-selling opportunities and engage in industry networking to expand service offerings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years in transmission system studies
  • At least 3 years in project management
  • Extensive knowledge of electric transmission systems, planning processes, and operations
  • Proficiency with power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Promod
  • Familiarity with NERC and FERC standards and regional transmission operators (e.g., PJM, MISO, ERCOT)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees such as an MBA or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional engineering registration
  • Experience mentoring and leading technical teams
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management
