Job Summary
Lead the complete project lifecycle for transmission line, HVDC terminal station, and substation packages, establishing execution plans and mobilizing resources to meet program objectives. Manage project interfaces between civil, structural, electrical, and commissioning activities while serving as the primary contact for clients, EPC contractors, and regulatory bodies. Oversee budgets, cost forecasting, and contract administration, including review of contractor claims and change orders. Maintain active risk registers and ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and HSE requirements. Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and coordinate commissioning readiness for energization. Requires 15+ years of experience in power transmission projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in power transmission and distribution projects
- Demonstrated experience delivering at least one major 400 kV / 765 kV transmission line, HVDC, or substation project
- Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments
- Proven track record in project controls, procurement, construction, commissioning, and contract management
- Strong knowledge of transmission line systems, substations, and HVDC technologies
- Understanding of project controls, planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk management principles
- Familiarity with utility standards, international engineering practices, and transmission infrastructure regulations
- Knowledge of SCADA, protection systems, telecommunications, and grid integration requirements
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
