Job Summary
Project Manager for Transmission & Distribution to manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects of overhead transmission project design, from concept to completion, with a focus on client development and repeat business. Responsibilities include scope management, scheduling, cost control, risk management, QA/QC adherence, environmental permitting, right-of-way coordination, contract negotiations, proposals, and stakeholder communications. Must lead multi-discipline project teams, maintain client relationships, oversee project financials, and travel to project sites as needed. Requires engineering degree, 7+ years of related experience (3+ in transmission), and strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills; PE and PMP preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of related experience, including 3+ years in managing engineering projects in Transmission & Distribution
- Master's degree in related field may substitute for one year of experience (optional)
- Professional Engineering (PE) registration preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication, client coordination, budgeting and schedule management experience
- Experience with NESC code and related industry standards
- Ability to develop business and establish client relationships
- Travel to client offices and project locations expected (20%)
