Job Summary
Manage traffic design projects from initiation through completion, leading internal teams and coordinating with subconsultants, clients, and reviewing agencies. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans while monitoring financials, invoicing, and profitability. Oversee preparation of plans, reports, and technical documents in compliance with DOT and client standards. Serve as the primary client contact to maintain long-term relationships and ensure QA/QC procedures are followed. Facilitate coordination meetings, track progress, and mentor Deputy Project Managers, engineers, and technical staff. Participate in business development and proposal preparation activities. Based in Austin, Dallas, or Round Rock, TX, this role supports American Structurepoint's mission to improve community quality of life through traffic and transportation design.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
- 8+ years of traffic or transportation design experience
- Proven experience managing DOT or municipal traffic projects
- Strong understanding of AASHTO and DOT design standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds
- Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality
