Project Manager / Tooling Engineer

Job Summary
Oversee technical development, construction, and implementation of custom injection molds and secondary machinery for new and existing customer product lines. Collaborate with customer design groups to provide technical direction on molding issues and coordinate development of new production tooling by specifying requirements to the toolmaker. Manage data transfers for part drawings, inspection prints, and BOMs between customers and Majors Plastics. Document project progress through weekly reports and evaluate 2-D part drawings for quality specifications with Q.A. to resolve potential issues. Coordinate initial mold tryouts, preliminary test runs, and pre-production changes, then re-visit projects during full production when requested. Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of plastic injection mold design and construction
- Good communication and graphical documentation skills
- Experience with 3-D data transfers, reading and interpreting 3-D part files and blueprints
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of office equipment such as copier, fax, and computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft products
