Job Summary

Lead embedded project management for engineering, technology, and R&D functions by planning and driving end-to-end delivery of project scope. Design and stand up the TPI Project Office framework, including governance structures, delivery lanes, and cross-cutting disciplines of project controls, risk management, and vendor management. Build and maintain project controls across assigned scope, develop work breakdown structures, establish resource-loaded schedules, and manage baselines throughout execution. Coordinate scheduling in Primavera P6, integrate external engineering and vendor schedules, and run performance measurement and reporting including milestone tracking and portfolio dashboards. Operate change management through a disciplined project change request process, maintain live change logs and risk registers, and support portfolio intake and categorization. Stand up and steward project management tooling, coordinate interfaces with contracted engineering and EPC partners, and author Project Office governance artifacts. Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, operations, engineering, and R&D to keep delivery aligned with safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the Washington State-based TerraPower Isotopes division in advancing nuclear science for medical isotope development.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline from an accredited university
  • 6+ years of project management experience
  • Strong foundation in project controls (scheduling, cost, earned value, and change control)
  • Demonstrated experience helping build or stand up a project management office, project controls function, or comparable delivery framework
  • Experience delivering projects in a regulated or high-compliance environment such as cGMP/pharmaceutical, nuclear, aerospace, or other safety-critical industry
  • Self-directed and self-motivated, with a proven ability to operate effectively with limited direction
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to communicate and drive alignment across multidisciplinary teams including engineering, R&D, quality, and operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to produce clear governance documentation
  • Ability to produce concise leadership-level reporting
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tooling (Confluence and Jira)
  • Familiarity with enterprise scheduling tools such as Primavera P6
  • Comfort helping design how such tools are configured and governed
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to perform visual and audio focused work
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to bend/stoop
  • Ability to grasp/grip
  • Ability to exercise fine motor control (hands)
  • Ability to type/keyboard
  • Ability to work in a standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hours/day

  • Ability to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the United States

Desired Qualifications

  • PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification
  • Prior experience in a radiopharmaceutical, nuclear, or radiological environment
  • Experience within a startup, scale-up, or other fast-growth environment
