Job Summary
Conduct on-site inspections of contractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules. Prepare scopes of work, general specifications, and technical specifications for advertising solicitations and bid proposals. Evaluate contractor performance, resolve job status issues, and coordinate work schedules with school building administrators. Review contractor inspection reports, service tickets, and invoices for accuracy and contract compliance. Maintain accurate contract files electronically and assist in tracking capital assets through facility condition assessments. Requires a valid driver's license, DCJS registration, and five years of experience in technical security or project management. Full-time role with essential personnel status for emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Security Technology, Electronics, or Business Administration
- Five (5) years of experience in Technical Security or project management
- Valid Driver's License
- DCJS registration for electronic security
- Knowledge of technical security related systems and their operation
- Experience with the installation and maintenance of technical security equipment
- Knowledge of construction and maintenance principles and practices as applied to school facilities; school building operating systems and maintenance requirements
- Ability to prepare scopes of work and specifications suitable for the solicitation of school facilities operation and maintenance contracts and capital asset repair and replacement contracts; to maintain accurate and complete records; to apply standards and codes to varying maintenance situations
- Must be skilled and proficient in the use of standard office computer software systems and have a working knowledge of and/or experience using computerized maintenance management systems
- Good human relations and communication skills
- Regularly talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
- Convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Possess normal cognitive abilities including the ability to learn, recall and apply certain practices and policies
- Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time
- Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Report for work during a delay or emergency situations
