Job Summary
Project Manager for the VA design and construction activities supporting the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Project at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, FL. Provides project management support for VA design and construction activities, overseeing schedules, budgets, stakeholder coordination, risk management, issue resolution, and project reporting while supporting the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) throughout project execution. Responsibilities include managing professional/technical services for VA project delivery, maintaining the Project Management Plan, monitoring financials and cost control, coordinating with authorities having jurisdiction, documenting meetings and as-built records, processing change orders and RFI responses, and ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, standards, and VA design standards. Requires strong communication and coordination across the construction team and with stakeholders; healthcare project experience and VA-related standards are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university (in lieu of a degree, fifteen years of directly related experience may be substituted)
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects, including supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management, and overall project management activities
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong communication skills in coordinating with construction team members
- Healthcare project/facility experience preferred
- Knowledge of TJC, OSHA, and VA policies and design standards
