Job Summary

Project Manager for VA design and construction delivery at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, FL, supporting EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades. Oversees project schedules, budgets, stakeholder coordination, risk management, issue resolution, and project reporting; supports the COR throughout project execution. Responsibilities include managing professional/technical services, reviewing schedules and budgets, documenting meetings, managing construction documentation and as‐built records, developing the Project Management Plan, monitoring financials, and supporting contract administration including change orders and pay applications. Requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field (or equivalent substitution), and seven+ years of facility construction management experience. Healthcare project experience and knowledge of VA/TJC/OSHA standards are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university
  • minimum seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects
  • ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • demonstrate strong communication skills when coordinating with construction team members
  • healthcare project/facility experience preferred
  • meet or exceed applicable professional practice and performance standards including TJC, OSHA, and VA policies

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • fifteen (15) years of directly related experience may substitute for degree
  • minimum seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects
  • ability to read and interpret construction documents
  • strong communication skills
  • healthcare project/facility experience preferred
  • meet or exceed applicable professional practice and performance standards (e.g., TJC, OSHA, VA policies)
  • requisite background to support the specified project
  • SDVOSB and government contracting familiarity (preferred)
  • experience with VA design and construction processes
  • contract administration and change management experience
  • RFI review and response experience
  • O&M manuals and closeout submittal review
  • coordination with COR/CO and stakeholders
  • budgeting and schedule management
  • risk management and issue resolution
  • as-built documentation maintenance
  • documentation control and project reporting
