Job Summary
Project Manager needed to support VA EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa, FL. Manage schedules, budgets, stakeholder coordination, risk and issue resolution, and reporting; oversee COR/CO support; ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, standards, plans, and specifications. Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction and compliance bodies to develop solutions; develop and maintain the Project Management Plan (including communication, schedule, quality, and risk management); monitor financials and cost control; support construction contract administration, including change orders and pay applications; maintain project documentation, RFI reviews, and as-built records; coordinate owner-furnished equipment and closeout submittals. Relevant qualifications include construction-management leadership, ability to read construction documents, and healthcare/facility project experience; VA/DOD/government contract exposure is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects including supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management, program budgeting, and overall project management activities
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong communication skills in coordinating with construction team members
- Healthcare project/facility experience preferred
- Familiarity with TJC, OSHA, and VA policies and design standards
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (accredited university); fifteen (15) years of directly related experience may be substituted for degree
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in management of facility construction projects, including supervision of engineering, design and construction, schedule control, cost management, program budgeting, and overall project management activities
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Strong communication skills when coordinating with construction team members
- Healthcare project/facility experience preferred
- Experience meeting professional practice and performance standards (e.g., TJC, OSHA, VA policies and design standards)
- Background sufficient to support the specified project
- Experience with VA design and construction activities and COR/CO coordination would be beneficial
