Job Summary
Leads, directs and coordinates the overall management of multiple commercial construction projects in Winnipeg, MB. Responsibilities include developing and supervising a high-performance team, administering contracts with owners/architects/subcontractors/vendors, establishing and communicating master project schedules, coordinating with preconstruction, managing budgets and financial reporting, overseeing QA/QC programs, supervising field operations and engineering processes, driving compliance with insurance, labor and employee relations, enforcing safety protocols, coordinating pay applications, and providing regular progress and budget updates through ORM meetings. Requires knowledge of BIM and Lean technologies, ability to read contracts and drawings, strong communication skills, and proven leadership to drive project success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or PMP ideal
- 3 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
- Ability to implement leading-edge technologies such as Building Information Models (BIM) and Lean to benefit the project
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
