Job Summary
Immediate Full-time Project Manager needed to lead commercial and residential design-build construction projects in the Kootenay Region. Responsibilities include enforcing health, safety and environmental standards; ensuring work aligns with approved plans, specifications and building codes; developing and maintaining construction schedules; facilitating meetings with stakeholders; identifying and managing risks to meet schedule and financial targets; maintaining financial forecasts and billings; managing procurement and subcontractor negotiations; coordinating submittals and on-time delivery of materials; mentoring Project Managers and Coordinators; and applying PMP/LEED practices where available.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years work experience as a Project Manager /Project Coordinator / Construction
- Engineer Graduate Engineer with professional registration or with a Degree in Construction Management
- PMP and LEED designation preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and superior technical skills required
- Experience in the commercial and Residential design and construction of buildings required
- Previous Site-based experience preferred
- Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of project and scheduling software required
