Job Summary
Oversee industrial construction projects from initiation through closeout, including scope verification, permitting, engineering coordination, fabrication, installation, and final delivery. Act as the primary client liaison across all phases, manage schedules and budgets, ensure contractual and client requirements are met, and drive profitability through cost tracking and forecasting. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely execution, uphold safety standards, maintain comprehensive project documentation, and mentor junior project staff. Proficiency with Smartsheet and ability to read construction drawings are essential, along with a proactive, risk-aware, and client-focused mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle, including permitting, scheduling, budgeting, and field coordination
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Smartsheet) and accounting systems (e.g., AccountEdge/MYOB)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety standards
- Must possess and maintain appropriate PPE, including CSA-approved safety footwear (green tag) and high-visibility clothing
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Team-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach
