Job Summary
Lead business development efforts, manage key client relationships, and oversee all project tasks including AutoCAD, GIS, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater planning, and storm drain design. Grow and mentor younger staff while establishing goals, providing vision, and ensuring profitable project management. Transition work to qualified personnel and act as a positive leader with autonomy to direct and expand the Surface Water practice. This role supports the expansion of the Surface Water practice in Seattle, WA, focusing on resiliency and sustainable infrastructure engineering. Success leads to an impressive bonus program and potential advancement to ownership.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Civil Engineering and design experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, water management authorities and local, regional, state agencies
- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills
- Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
- Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
- Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work
