Job Summary
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of rack-level system deployment projects, defining scopes, drafting Statements of Work, and calculating resources based on customer requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for clear communication and expectation management during deployments. In the absence of active projects, perform on-site hardware troubleshooting, maintenance, and service desk ticket handling to minimize downtime. Demonstrate self-readiness by independently managing service workflows and responding to technical challenges in dynamic data center environments, including rack movement, hardware remediation, and power configuration validation. Requires 5+ years of data center operations experience, frequent domestic and international travel, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data center operations, IT service delivery, or technical project management
- Proven experience leading and managing rack-level system deployment projects
- Demonstrated success in drafting Statements of Work (SOWs), calculating project timelines, and coordinating resource requirements for complex, large-scale customer projects
- Hands-on experience with high-speed cabling and structured cabling systems
- Strong technical knowledge of server hardware, GPU systems, and data center networking
- Proficiency in hardware diagnostics (BIOS, UEFI Shell, PXE, DOS) and troubleshooting within Linux/Windows server environments
- Demonstrated expert-level capability in performing comprehensive on-site deployment tasks
- Ability to travel frequently to different cities within the country of residence or to international locations within a 6-hour flight radius for deployment projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and formal expectations
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
