Job Summary
Project Manager responsible for Building, Fire and Life Safety code consulting; conduct surveys and inspections; plan reviews; provide expert guidance to contractors, owners, engineers and architects to ensure up-to-date fire prevention concepts are included in design and construction. Includes new business development, proposal creation, project financial management, and revenue projections. Travel required 10-25%. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field (master’s in Fire Protection Engineering preferred) and 5+ years of relevant experience. Knowledge of ICC/NFPA codes, ability to interpret them, and strong leadership/communication skills. P.E. license preferred. Experience with Fire modeling (FDS) and timed egress analysis is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or other construction related field
- 5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering and/or consulting, building code plan review, and inspections
- Knowledge of ICC and NFPA code & standards
- Strong communication, mentoring abilities, and ability to lead projects
- P.E. license (or ability to obtain) is preferred
- Experience with Fire modeling (FDS) and timed egress analysis is a plus
