Job Summary
Review, manage, and monitor all aspects of the project's contractual, technical, and financial documents. Direct and coordinate project execution to ensure efficiency, adherence to budgets, and compliance with contract requirements. Establish schedules for approvals, production, and subcontractors while serving as the primary liaison with customers regarding status and coordination. Expedite RFIs and detail drawings, coordinate material needs from shops and vendors, and monitor project costs to maintain target margins. Identify scope changes, prepare change order estimates, and negotiate with customers. Provide invoicing information, approve vendor invoices, and support Accounting with collections. Document activities, correspond with customers, and mitigate risks through timely communication. Prepare cost-to-complete data for monthly reviews and utilize company software systems to manage projects. Attend internal and external meetings, cost reviews, and site visits, some requiring travel.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of construction experience
- Valid driver's license
- acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely navigate construction work areas (stairs, ladders, uneven surfaces)
- General computer proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- at least two (2) years as a Project Manager in steel construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
