Job Summary
Traveling Project Manager to oversee structural steel and miscellaneous metals construction projects across multiple regions. Manage projects from turnover through completion, oversee financials, scheduling, subcontractors, RFIs, change orders, and contract compliance. Coordinate with engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection, vendors, and customers to keep projects moving efficiently; maintain schedules, track milestones, and proactively resolve issues. Participate in job meetings, site visits, and customer coordination meetings; support project execution while maintaining quality, safety, and budget expectations. Prepare and manage cost tracking, billing support, and project documentation. Requires 5–7+ years of experience in structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to travel as needed, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of structural steel and/or miscellaneous metals experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Proven experience independently managing construction projects
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with project management software systems
- Willingness and ability to travel as project needs require
