Job Summary
Project Manager –Strategic Manufacturing Project role leading end-to-end manufacturing initiatives: regionalization/localization/industrialization and manufacturing transfer projects; manage charter, scope, resources, risk, timeline, budget, and closure; drive cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Operations; lead manufacturing readiness activities including line setup, validation, pilot runs, and production ramp-up; coordinate trial builds, line balancing, and gate reviews; identify automation opportunities; drive digital manufacturing initiatives (MES, IoT-enabled systems, data analytics, traceability, digital work instructions, OEE); manage capital investments including equipment procurement, vendor evaluation, RFQ, installation, and commissioning (FAT/SAT); develop business cases and ROI analyses; lead Lean/Kaizen continuous improvement; track KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and equipment efficiency; preferred: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), SAP and Power BI experience, Industry 4.0 exposure, and track record in manufacturing transfer/localization/expansion; Emerson culture highlights inclusive, collaborative environment with growth, mentorship, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, industrial engineering principles, and production systems
- Experience managing end-to-end projects in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Knowledge of automation systems, process validation, and production ramp-up methodologies
- Familiarity with digital manufacturing concepts such as MES, industrial IoT, and performance analytics
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and deliver in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Effective communication and presentation skills for engaging with leadership teams
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP) and data visualization tools (such as Power BI)
- Hands-on exposure to Industry 4.0, smart factory initiatives, and automation deployment
- Proven track record in manufacturing transfer, localization, or capacity expansion projects
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing industries such as automotive, industrial equipment, electronics, or EV
- Demonstrated success in driving Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives
