Job Summary
Direct and oversee construction projects from start to finish while monitoring compliance with building and safety regulations. Communicate and maintain relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and the public. Lead project meetings, establish reporting procedures, and monitor schedules and budgets. Manage change orders, negotiate impacts, and prepare progress billings. Supervise project teams, mentor coordinators and superintendents, and handle all project close-outs. Requires 5+ years of commercial construction experience, ability to work flexible hours, and occasional travel. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Commercial construction experience preferred on building projects of $5 million or greater
- A diploma or degree in Project/Construction Management, a related field of study or past work experience operating at a similar level or role
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities and prioritize the workload appropriately
- Strong computer skills, proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, as well as the ability and willingness to learn new software
- Self-motivated, ambitious, and passionate about construction
- Ability to problem solve with a can-do attitude and a mindset of continuous improvement
- Knowledge of construction methods, codes, and best practices in the construction environment
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Travel is occasionally required
