Job Summary
Project Manager oversees a construction program from development through implementation, coordinating schedules and budgets to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and quality. Serves as liaison between team members and clients, with project values typically ranging from $2,000 to $1,000,000 per project or up to $3,000,000 annually. Responsibilities include budgeting, developing and reviewing SOWs, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, scheduling, business development, safety compliance, and site visits. Requires strong negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities, plus proficiency with tools such as RS Means-based estimating, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, and the Microsoft Office suite; mentoring of junior team members is expected. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is desired but not required, with healthcare construction experience highly desired. Occasional travel and working in an office-to-site environment are noted. E-Verify compliance is mentioned in the employer’s notices.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
- Previous experience managing and coordinating multiple projects, subcontractors, and vendors simultaneously
- Experience with civil/site work, site utilities, and structures is a plus
- Proficient in producing detailed fixed price estimates; has the ability to use RS Means or other published unit price books to produce detailed line-item estimates
- Possess effective negotiating skills
- Resource Management; to include operations support staff, vendors, subcontractors, and time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information
- Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology, design, means and methods, systems may include but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam
- Mentor and train assistant level operations team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field desired but not required
- Experience managing healthcare construction projects highly desired
