Job Summary
Project Manager responsible for driving projects forward from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality. Duties include reviewing contract documents and shop drawings, leading document control and milestones, planning and budgeting project phasing and logistics, developing and maintaining the master schedule, reviewing budgets and change orders, nurturing client and partner relationships, mentoring Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, and communicating key milestones to stakeholders. Requires a 4-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years’ construction experience. Skills include proactive communication, detailed documentation, understanding of contract language, proficiency with project management and scheduling software, Lean principles (Last Planner System), PPC tracking, and knowledge of budgeting, bid processes, and subcontractor qualification. Location: Chicago, IL (onsite) with standard benefits package described.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or another construction-related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the built construction world
