Job Summary
Senior Project Manager for heavy industrial steel fabrication: oversee and manage project scheduling and budgeting, review contracts, proposals, and drawings to assess timelines and staffing, ensure optimal resource allocation, and facilitate clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams. Drive processes to successful project completion, thoroughly review drawings for accuracy, create work-back schedules with milestones, coordinate material purchasing and logistics, and ensure secure handling of project data. Requires ability to interpret fabrication drawings and work with CAD/ERP/MRP systems; familiarity with ASME/AISC/API/AWS standards preferred. Onsite with occasional remote flexibility in Vancouver, WA; travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 5 years or more of direct experience required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the heavy industrial steel fabrication industry
- Experience with CAD software and ERP/MRP systems
- Basic knowledge of steel fabrication standards (AISC, ASME, API, AWS, ASTM)
- Experience managing ASME-certified projects is preferred
