Job Summary
Retrieves work assignments, reviews project scope, and schedules resources for residential and commercial fire, smoke, soot, odor, and contents restoration projects. Conducts initial inspections, develops restoration strategies, and oversees production activities including emergency services, contents pack-outs, and reconstruction coordination. Supervises technicians, subcontractors, and vendors while maintaining quality control, managing project budgets, and ensuring compliance with IICRC guidelines and insurance carrier requirements. Creates detailed estimates using Xactimate, communicates with adjusters and insurance representatives, and coordinates contents inventory and restoration services. Leads, trains, and develops field staff, resolves customer concerns, and participates in an on-call emergency response rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of restoration project management, estimating, insurance adjusting, or construction management experience
- Strong knowledge of fire, smoke, soot, odor, and contents restoration practices
- Experience managing residential and commercial restoration projects
- Experience working with insurance carriers, adjusters, and claims processes
- Basic construction knowledge including building materials, flooring, cabinetry, finishes, and reconstruction practices
- Experience leading teams of two or more employees
- Proficiency in Xactimate
- Valid Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel locally throughout Western Washington
- Ability to participate in an on-call emergency response rotation
- Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or move up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, crawl, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to access residential, commercial, and industrial job sites with varying conditions
- Ability to work in environments affected by fire, smoke, soot, odor, water intrusion, and construction-related activities
- Ability to clearly communicate information and instructions to customers, team members, and insurance representatives
- Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment, including respirators when necessary
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and environments

- Experience using Symbility
- Experience with Contents Track, Encircle, or similar contents management software
- Familiarity with DocuSketch
- Strong documentation, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience utilizing tablets, mobile devices, and cloud-based software systems

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines

- FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician certification
- OCT – Odor Control Technician certification
- CPT – Carpet Cleaning Technician certification
- WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician certification
- ASD – Applied Structural Drying Technician certification
- Xactimate Level 1 or higher certification
- Contents processing certifications
